There is no reason your child should have any more difficulty gaining entrance to the college of his/her choice than any other student. I do recommend advance preparation for the ACT or SAT in order to perform well on these tests. I have found many colleges will weigh performance on these tests much higher than whatever public or private high school background the prospective student might have.

Be aware the SAT has been significantly changed! Do NOT use old reference materials. Your students must be prepared for the new exam, which places much greater emphasis on practical application of knowledge and now includes a written essay. Right now, used materials will not be particularly helpful except perhaps for the math section. I would recommend purchasing new study guides.
